A group of 21 volunteers
who were involved in Care project in Tenkasi town, visited a local
temple along with Project abroad staff. The temple was located on the
bank of the river 'Thamirabarani'. The volunteers noticed an elephant
that was taking bath in the river. Immediately, they rushed towards the
river and saw the elephant named 'Sundari' (means beauty) immersing
herself into the river water. Murugan, the elephant rider was assissting
her in the process of bathing.
The volunteers were so excited as most of them were seeing an elephat for the first time in their life. The elephant was so fresh and she came out of the river. The volunteers wanted to ride on the elephant and they did it one by one. Some volunteers started screaming out of their joy when they were riding. The volunteers were so happy as the elephant ride was a pleasant suprise to them. By the end of the day, it was a memorable experience to each one of them!
